Filming Your Wedding at The Elvetham
The Elvetham gives couples a real choice in how their wedding day unfolds, and that variety can make a big difference to the finished wedding film. The ceremony can take place in the historic Bell Tower, the light filled Oak Room, the more intimate Morning Room or even outside in the gardens. Each setting has its own character, giving the ceremony and the moments surrounding it a distinctly different feel.
The Library is another particularly interesting space for filming. Its original bookcases, ornate fireplace and large windows give it a strong visual identity, while the Oak Room provides a brighter and more open setting. Having different spaces available means the atmosphere can change naturally as the wedding moves from one part of the day to another.
As the celebrations continue, the evening reception can take place in the Oak Room or Library, with the Gloriana Bar providing another part of the venue for guests to gather. The Elvetham also hosts just one wedding each day, which allows the day to develop at its own pace rather than feeling like one event finishing before another begins.
For us, this gives plenty of opportunities to capture the changing atmosphere of the day. From the anticipation before the ceremony through to the speeches, first dance and evening celebrations, we can concentrate on the people and moments that make your wedding yours, while allowing everything to unfold naturally around you.
