Oakley Hall Hotel

We were first asked to be wedding videographers at Oakley Hall Hotel many years ago and it's easy for us to see why it is regarded as one of the most popular country wedding venues in Hampshire. With idyllic surrounding countryside and gardens, it’s always a pleasure to film there and we are very proud to be the recommended wedding videographers for this most impressive venue.

An 18th Century manor, Oakley Hall Hotel is set in 315 acres of private grounds which make an ideal backdrop for your photos and wedding video. The venue offers different spaces for any size of wedding, with 7 indoor luxury rooms that can host your wedding, all of which overlook the beautiful gardens and grounds, as well as a Garden Pavilion and Woodland Pavilion, with the option of also holding an outdoor ceremony. The outdoor terraces and patios also offer wonderful spaces for drinks receptions outside.

Depending on if couples are planning an intimate or lavish grand wedding, the hotel can accommodate between 30 and 400 guests. After the big day couples and their guests can retire to one of the 50 on site bedrooms including the beautiful garden cottage which can sleep up to 6 guests.

We have been lucky to film weddings at this impressive venue and look forward to returning to this beautiful location very soon. If you have any questions about wedding videography at Oakley Hall Hotel, please do get in contact.

Filming Your Wedding at Oakley Hall Hotel

One of the things that makes Oakley Hall particularly interesting to film is the choice of spaces available throughout the day. From the quieter preparations in the Whitchurch Wedding Preparation Suite and Garden Cottage through to the ceremony, drinks reception and evening celebrations, each part of the wedding can have its own atmosphere while still feeling connected. The Whitchurch Suite also has windows overlooking the arrival area, which can create some lovely moments as the anticipation builds before the ceremony.

There are also some wonderful details within the individual rooms that give us plenty to work with when filming. The Library, for example, has a Georgian fireplace, ornate chandeliers and mahogany bookshelves, while the Garden Suite combines period architecture with a more contemporary feel and opens directly onto the Garden Terrace. These different surroundings help give each part of the film its own visual character.

For couples choosing an outdoor ceremony, the Woodland Pavilion provides another completely different setting, with its large oak beams framing the ceremony. Later in the day, the Garden Pavilion offers a dedicated space for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations, with its own bar, kitchen, terrace, lighting and sound system.

For us, this variety means we can concentrate on more than simply filming the main events. The reactions, conversations, anticipation and little moments between them all help build a wedding film that feels like a genuine reflection of the day.
