A wedding venue with character
Located near Newbury and nestled within 120 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside, the barn is perfectly situated to offer something special to every couple who chooses the venue. One of the standout features is the floor to ceiling glass wall which can be opened or closed to suite the needs of the day. Indoor ceremonies can cater for up to 150 guests and couples can also choose to say their vows on the upper lawn in the sunnier months.

As a modern venue, recently opened in 2021, couples can expect all the latest modern touches. This includes full climate control throughout, so whether rain or shine, celebrations can be held in comfort year round. There are also nearby hotels including Donnington Valley Hotel and The Vineyard at Stockcross, offering plenty of accommodation for guests.

There are so many picturesque spaces for couples and their guests, including the charming rose arch walkway and the stunning grounds and lawns. Unlike some other venues, there is also no noise restrictions or limits on sparklers and fireworks, which gives greater freedom for couples planning their day.

A Wedding Film With Plenty Of Atmosphere
The Post Barn has a character that works particularly well on film. The combination of the contemporary architecture with the warmth of the open fires and the mezzanine balcony gives the main barn plenty of depth, while the large windows keep the gardens visually connected to the celebrations inside.
We particularly enjoy the way guests naturally move between the different areas during the day. The terrace and outdoor spaces can become part of the celebration between the formal parts of the wedding, while the indoor bar and barn provide a more intimate atmosphere as the day progresses.
There are also some lovely details that help make the reception feel personal. The outdoor kitchen allows food to become part of the experience, while the terrace provides another place for guests to gather. Later, the barn's architecture, lighting and open fires create a very different atmosphere for the evening celebrations.
For us, these changes in atmosphere are exactly what make a good wedding film feel like a story. Rather than simply recording the ceremony, speeches and first dance, we can capture the little interactions and changing energy around them, giving you a film that brings back what the whole day actually felt like.
