As wedding videographers, we are always pleased to hear when couples have booked a toastmaster for their special day. This role can often be overlooked when planning a wedding, but toastmasters play an important role in greeting guests, making sure everyone knows what’s happening and where, making announcements, introducing the speakers and liaising with all the key suppliers, as well as the venue, on the day.
The final point is key for us, as the toastmaster is able to communicate to us what’s going on and any potential changes or delay to the planned schedule. They are our main point of contact on the day and help give us advance notice of important parts of the day, such as the speeches.
