We are award-winning wedding videographers who regularly film at Rivervale Barn in Yateley, Hampshire. Set beside the River Blackwater, this beautiful barn venue offers a relaxed and scenic setting for wedding films.
Rivervale Barn is a charming countryside venue made up of two barns, elegant gardens and a romantic courtyard, creating a perfect flow throughout the day for weddings.
As wedding videographers, we have filmed many weddings here over the years and love capturing its natural beauty alongside the peaceful Hampshire surroundings, particularly during golden hour by the river and gardens.
The Ceremony Barn is where many couples choose to say their vows, with space for up to 150 guests and large windows that fill the room with natural light. The layout flows seamlessly into the reception spaces, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience for guests.
Outside, the gardens and surrounding countryside provide stunning backdrops for drinks receptions and couple portraits, while the addition of the Spinney offers a unique outdoor ceremony option.
For the wedding breakfast, the Dining Room provides an elegant space with high ceilings and chandeliers, before the evening celebrations begin in the barn, making Rivervale Barn a fantastic venue to film throughout the day.

Why We Love Filming At Rivervale Barn
One of the things that makes Rivervale Barn particularly enjoyable to film is the amount of thought that has gone into the beginning of the wedding day. The Pamper Room provides a dedicated space for preparations, while the newer Shepherd's Rest gives the other partner their own private place to get ready. This means there are opportunities to capture both sides of the morning, from the excitement of getting ready to those quieter moments just before the ceremony.
The preparation spaces also give us the chance to capture the people around you rather than simply concentrating on the bride and groom. Friends and family getting ready, helping with final details and sharing those last conversations before the ceremony can become an important part of the story.
Another feature we particularly like is the dedicated Dancefloor. Rather than having to completely rearrange the main reception space for the evening, the band or DJ has its own area ready for the party. This creates a clear change in atmosphere as the wedding moves from dinner and speeches into the evening celebrations, giving us plenty of opportunity to capture that transition naturally.
There is also something special about being able to continue the story after the main celebrations have finished. With Rivervale Lodge providing ten bedrooms for guests and Cornstore Cottage for the newlyweds, the venue allows everyone to stay together and continue the celebrations into the following morning.
For us, those parts of the day are just as valuable as the big moments. They are the conversations, reactions and little pieces of excitement that help turn a collection of wedding footage into a film that brings the whole experience back to life.
