At the end of the tree lined driveway, couples will find this glorious venue nestled amongst the stunning countryside. Many couples may choose to hold their ceremony in the 400 year old Threshing Barn, now lovingly and sympathetically restored to one of the leading wedding spaces in Hampshire. However, as no two weddings are the same, couples may prefer to say their vows outside the Dutch Barn with their friends and family sat amongst the beautiful kitchen gardens.
Drinks receptions take place in The Old Henhouse and couples and their guests can enjoy the surrounding manicured gardens, numerous courtyards and rolling green fields. There are numerous elegant spots for those all important photos and of course wedding videos are always enhanced by a stunning backdrop.
The wedding breakfast is usually held in The Cow Shed, a space full of charm and elegance, with reclaimed wood, handmade tables and chairs and impressive chandeliers. One of the most impressive aspects of this room is the large picture window which allows for magnificent sunset views.
Silchester Farm offers exclusive use which means couples and their guests can relax and enjoy the day in their own secluded venue. The team have a truly bespoke view of weddings, allowing couples to create their dream day from scratch and making sure every detail is perfect for them. This belief is of course extended to the food on offer, with a range of trusted caterers available, couples will be able to find their perfect dishes. From traditional wedding breakfast options to theatrical street food there are options to suit every taste.

Filming Your Wedding at Silchester Farm
Silchester Farm is a venue where the movement of the day naturally creates different chapters for your wedding film. The ceremony can take place in a choice of indoor or outdoor settings, before guests move through the farm for drinks and then towards the Cow Shed for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. This gives us the opportunity to capture the atmosphere changing as the day progresses rather than having everything happen within one space.
The preparation room is also included as part of the venue hire, giving us somewhere to begin the story before the ceremony. From those quieter moments in the morning, through the anticipation before the ceremony and the reactions afterwards, we can build the film around the natural rhythm of the day rather than simply concentrating on the formal events.
Later on, the Cow Shed becomes the focus of the celebrations, with its seven metre cocktail bar providing a particularly striking feature as the evening gets underway. The Dutch Barn and surrounding areas also provide opportunities to step outside during the celebrations, while the farm's on site accommodation means there can be a real sense of everyone staying together and enjoying the occasion as a complete experience.
For us, that combination of changing spaces, different atmospheres and plenty of opportunities for natural interactions makes Silchester Farm particularly rewarding to film. It allows the finished wedding film to show not just what happened, but how the whole day felt.
