Filming Your Wedding at The Tithe Barn
The Tithe Barn has a character that comes through particularly well on film. Inside, the six huge stone arches, half hammer beams and original flagstone floor give the main hall a wonderful sense of scale, while the large doors can be opened onto the meadow, creating a natural connection between the ceremony and the surrounding landscape.
One of the things we particularly enjoy when filming here is the way the space changes throughout the day. The main barn provides a striking setting for the ceremony and wedding breakfast, while the indoor balcony overlooking the hall offers another perspective for capturing the atmosphere and reactions of your guests. The balcony can also be used in a number of different ways during the reception.
The Old Milking Parlour is another useful part of the venue from a filming perspective. With its dedicated hair and make up stations, full length mirror and comfortable seating, it provides a relaxed setting for those quieter preparations before the ceremony begins.
With the ceremony, reception and celebrations all taking place within the same exclusive use venue, there are plenty of opportunities to tell the story of the day naturally, from the anticipation of the morning through to the speeches, dancing and evening celebrations.
