As recommended wedding videographers at Hedsor House, we’ve had the pleasure of filming here many times and know the venue extremely well. The venue is a majestic private Georgian country house in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. It was voted Vogue's dream wedding venue and guests have included Johnny Depp, who remarked "an absolutely amazing place!".
Couples may already be familiar with the venue through its countless appearances in film and TV. Recently the house stood in for the interiors of Balmoral and 10 Downing Street in series 4 of 'The Crown'. You can also spot the house in Legend, Red 2, Quartet, Spooks, Downton Abbey, The Golden Compass and many adverts and music videos.
Its bridal suite is one of the biggest in Europe, at 2500 sq feet. The house is exclusive use and offers a blank canvas for you to use as you wish for your wedding. Whether it's an intimate wedding the Centre Hall, a large wedding breakfast in the Great hall or a summer soiree in a marquee in the grounds, you can build your dream wedding in this unique venue.
The house is set in 100 acres of historic parkland and the gardens are Grade II listed. The driveway is a kilometre long and sweeps round up to the house, which sits high above the Thames and the surrounding countryside.
The backdrop of the impressive house make for some stunning couple's shots on photo and film. We have been lucky enough to film at Hedsor House on many occasions and it still takes your breath away each time. It is a truly beautiful luxury wedding venue.

Filming a Wedding at Hedsor House
Hedsor House is particularly enjoyable to film because the wedding naturally moves through a series of very different spaces throughout the day. The Centre Hall, with its distinctive domed ceiling and mezzanine balcony, creates a dramatic setting for the ceremony, while the Drawing Room provides a more relaxed space for guests afterwards.
As the day develops, there are plenty of opportunities to capture something different. The Dutch Sunken Garden provides a beautiful setting for photographs and quieter moments together, while the South Lawn opens out towards the Thames Valley and can be used for outdoor receptions in warmer weather. Later, the Willingdon Bar creates a completely different atmosphere as the evening celebrations begin.
The fact that Hedsor is exclusively yours for the day also makes a real difference when filming. With accommodation for up to 26 people within the house, there are opportunities to capture the story of the wedding from much earlier in the day, including preparations, conversations and the anticipation before the ceremony.
For us, that is what makes filming at Hedsor so special. Rather than concentrating only on the ceremony and reception, we can capture the changing atmosphere throughout the day and the smaller interactions between the people who are there to celebrate with you.

Do you regularly film weddings at Hedsor House?
Yes. Hedsor House is a venue we know well, and we have filmed a number of weddings there over the years. Our experience of the house and grounds means we can work confidently around the different spaces throughout the day while remaining discreet and unobtrusive.
Can you film the preparations at Hedsor House?
Yes. Hedsor has accommodation within the house, including the Lavinia Suite and additional bedrooms, so there can be opportunities to capture the preparations and atmosphere before the ceremony begins. We can work around both sides of the wedding party where the arrangements allow.
Can you film outdoor weddings at Hedsor House?
Yes. Hedsor is licensed for outdoor ceremonies, including on the South Lawn and South Terrace. We can also capture the outdoor parts of the day such as drinks receptions, photographs and time spent with your guests.
Do you film discreetly at Hedsor House?
Absolutely. Our approach is very unobtrusive. We want you and your guests to enjoy the day naturally rather than feeling that a camera is constantly in front of you. Some of the most valuable moments in a wedding film are the things that happen when nobody realises they are being filmed.
Can you capture the whole wedding day at Hedsor House?
Yes. Our longer wedding packages are designed to capture the story of the day from the preparations through to the evening celebrations. At a venue such as Hedsor, this allows us to capture the changing atmosphere as the wedding moves from the ceremony through the gardens and reception spaces and into the evening.
