We love filming weddings at this amazing venue in Buckinghamshire, it’s incredibly grand and sophisticated, but at the same time each wedding is personal and unique. The house itself is privately owned and is set in 100 acre private park. Being just 26 miles from London it’s a great choice for couples looking for an exclusive use venue surrounded by stunning landscapes.
The house was a former royal residence, home to Augusta the Princess of Wales. Now it offers the opportunity for couples to host a 60 guest ‘intimate’ wedding, up to 140 guests in the Grand Ballroom, or even up to 800 people in a marquee on the lawns.
It’s not hard to see why Hedsor has been used in countless film and TV shows such as Quartet, 24, Downton Abbey and Legend with Tom Hardy. It’s always fun to watch the latest film and see Hedsor being used in different ways.
The main ballroom which couples can hold their ceremony and evening party is one of the finest we have worked in. There is even a minstrels galley for a string quartet!
In 2017 Hedor House was awarded the best Exclusive use venue and was also the overall top rated country house venue in the UK.
On the Hedsor House website, they have a great 3D virtual tour so couples can ‘walk’ through the building and grounds and really picture themselves there on the big day.
Hedsor is situated very near to Windsor, so guests who have traveled far may like to take the trip to the historic town after the wedding day to sit by the Thames or visit Windsor Castle.
