Gate Street Barn
We are delighted to be a regular wedding videographer at Gate Street Barn in Surrey and always enjoy filming weddings at this beautiful venue. We have filmed a number of weddings here over the years and know the venue well, so we are excited to tell you all about it.
Gate Street Barn in Bramley is set in the stunning Surrey Hills, amongst bluebell woods and a working farm. It is exclusive-use, so you and your guests have the venue to yourselves for the whole day.
As well as the beautiful setting of the barn itself, there are plenty of other indoor options, including the Granary, which is lovely and cosy with sofas and a wood burning stove. Outdoors, there's a fire pit which is ideal for toasting marshmallows in the evening. These little features make it a truly unique venue.

Filming a Wedding at Gate Street Barn
There is a lovely sense of freedom to filming a wedding at Gate Street Barn. The countryside setting gives the day plenty of space to unfold naturally, with the different areas of the venue creating a series of changes in atmosphere as the celebrations progress.
For us, one of the things that makes filming here particularly enjoyable is the opportunity to capture the quieter moments away from the main celebrations as well as the bigger parts of the day. The woodland setting and outdoor areas provide a completely different feel from the warmth and character of the barn, giving us plenty of variety when telling the story of a wedding.
Gate Street also has the kind of surroundings where we can step back and allow moments to happen naturally. Whether it is a couple taking a little time together, friends enjoying the countryside or everyone coming together later in the day, we prefer to capture these things as they happen rather than constantly directing what you do.
Having filmed weddings here over the years, we know how to make the most of the different spaces while keeping our presence discreet. The result is a film that brings back not only the main events of the day, but also the atmosphere, people and smaller moments that you may not have noticed at the time.
The venue's woodland and Farmhouse Avenue also offer couples alternative settings for their ceremony, with the latter looking out across the Surrey Hills.
